TIM WEST
FOUNDING MEMBER AND DIRECTOR

Tim is a retired Senior Warden from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and his family resides in the Palestine area of East Texas, where he dedicates his time to serving his local community. He is an active member of the Evangelistic Temple Church in Palestine, serves as a director and active team member in the Kairos Prison Ministry at the Mark W. Michael Unit, and leads the local Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) group. Tim regularly volunteers at the TDCJ Mark W. Michael Unit near Tennessee Colony, Texas, where he engages in biblical study with a strong desire to restore faith in God. Additionally, he is a founding board member of the Legacy Rock Ranch transition facility for men. Tim has a heart for empowering men to transition back into society successfully. From 2014 to the present, he has been a volunteer at the Michael Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. In 2010, he retired as a Regional Administrator from the University of Texas Medical Branch. In 1998, he retired as a Senior Warden from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. In 1978, he graduated with an M.A. in Contemporary Corrections from Sam Houston State University. And in 1976 he graduated with B.S. in contemporary Corrections from Sam Houston State University.

GARY COTTON

FOUNDING MEMBER AND DIRECTOR

Gary, who retired after 30 years as an oilfield sales representative, resides in Montalba, Texas. He serves as a Deacon at the ET Palestine church in Palestine, Texas. He is also a leader of the local Bible Study Fellowship group. His passion for building the Kingdom of God drives him to spread love and hope within the East Texas community. Gary participates in the Kairos prison ministry and as a volunteer in the Faith-Based Dorm at the TDCJ Michael Unit near Tennessee Colony, Texas. He aims to restore faith in God and change lives through biblical study. Gary is also a founding board member of Legacy Rock Ranch, where he empowers men to transition back into society and lead others to the Lord.

STEVEN HALL

FOUNDING MEMBER AND DIRECTOR

Following 30 years in business and finance, Steven is now following his calling to serve, teach, and encourage men who have risen from a life of pain and punishment to a new life of hope and optimism. Steven is actively involved in his local church, in a local Kairos prison ministry organization, and in serving in a local state men’s prison, assisting in teaching Leadership classes as part of the curriculum of a new Recovery Housing Opportunity Program within the TDCJ. This same leadership curriculum will become part of the Legacy Rock Ranch program, of which Steven is a founding member and director.
